Hey everyone I am just posting to update you on how I'm trying to use this blog more frequently now. I took another long hiatus from hacking, but due to some of the recent fun that's been going on, I couldn't resist. So hai, I'm back.

Greenspois0n "Failed :(" Error FIXED

Ok, for those of you that are trying to use Greenpois0n to jailbreak 4.2.1 and getting the "Failed" error, here's what I did and it worked. NOTE: The steps below assume that Greenpois0n.app is on your Desktop.

1. Make sure you're using Greenpois0n RC5_2
2. Make sure device is connected to your Mac
3. Open Terminal
4. Type "cd Desktop" without quotes and hit enter
5. Type "open Greenpois0n.app/Contents/MacOS/greenpois0n" without quotes and hit enter. A second Terminal window will open and Greenpois0n will start
6. Follow the instructions in Greenpois0n to enter DFU mode and it will jailbreak
7. Once jailbroken, a green "Loader" will be added to your device. This is supposed to allow you to install Cydia, but mine would not. If yours is the same, go to step 8
8. Turn off your device
9. Open Redsn0w 0.9.7b6
10. Make sure the only option checked is "Install Cydia"
11. Follow the instructions in Redsnow
12. Voila! Cydia is installed, and you have an untethered 4.2.1 jailbroken device!

I have found the fix to Spinning Wheel of Death on the iPad!

Hi all,

My iPad has recently suffered from the dreaded spinning wheel of death. But no worries, I have found the fix to it! Okay, so I was just chillin' out and browsing Cydia, then I tried to install the native iPhone app locker, LockDown. All of a sudden, after installing, while respringing, I got the SWOD! Well, no fear, all you have to do is hold both buttons (home + sleep) until it shuts down. Then boot it back up and uninstall the package thats caused you to enter SWOD. Respring, and, viola!

Sorry For The "Hiatus"

Hello fellow earthlings. :) Sorry for the hiatus - haven't been having much of a good time lately. First of all, I have had a terrible sunburn. :( I got the worst sunburn of my life followed by dreadful blisters and itching + my skin pealing. I also had to miss 4 days of school because I couldn't put a shirt on. But, luckily, now I have (somewhat) started my healing process.

iBook "Angle of Death"

Yay! I have FINALLY found a forum thread that is relatively good at providing information on dismantling the Apple iBook G3 after over 3 days of searching Google! (Keywords: "ibook backlight") But anyways, as far as knowing what is wrong with my iBook I am short of a genius, but I haven't really been able to find some information on HOW to fix it. (This problem is friggin' irritating BTW!) Okay, so the problem I am having is nicknamed the 'Angle of Death' because when you tilt the iBook back about 90° or more, the backlight turns off! This is because there are roughly five wires going through the tiny space in the hinge, which, after time, will break the wires. iPhone OS 4.0 BETA Download Links!

Alright, first of all I want to apologize for being a few days late on this post. I found this Saturday. I also want to apologize for the lack of posts recently. The iPad Has Been Jailbroken!

a few days ago confirms that @MuscleNerd has officially ported
Comex's "Spirit" Jailbreak to the iPad! Well, actually he only
obtained root access to the iPad, but still, it won't be long now!
